イギリスのThe Guardianは2006年5月29日に、フランスの有名なラッパーRichard Makelaが彼のアルバム「Politikment Incorrekt」でフランスを「ふしだら女(slut)」と呼び、ナポレオン空港とシャルル・ドゴール空港で「小便する(piss)」すると誓う歌を歌って怒りを買い！2006年5月29日に出廷することになったと報告した。

有罪になると3年間の収監、7万5,000ユーロの罰金になる。
Daniel MachはアルバムPyrenees-OrientalesのMPを聞いたとき、フランスの威厳とフランスの侮辱は犯罪者を保護することになるという法案を提案し、そのときフランス中は暴動の荒いの真っ最中で、49人の上院議員から賛成票を獲得し、マッハは、Makelaに対して未成年者がアクセスできる「暴力とでポルノグラフィーのメッセージ」を作って、広めたといおうことで訴えた。

このケースは保守的な政治家とラッパーとの一連のにらみ合いで、最新の事件になった。
2003年には大統領候補であったNicolas Sarkozyがラップバンド「Sniper」に対して、音楽が反ユダヤ主義、人種差別主義で侮辱的であると、刑事事件として訴えている。

ベルギーで生まれで、14歳からフランスで生活しているRichard Makelaはどんな特定のグループも対象としなかったと言ったが、「政治」に対して攻撃していた。
